Father Time: Kobe Bryant Will Sit Out Against Suns “I’m Barely Standing”

Kobe Bryant best

They say the only person undefeated in any arena is Father Time and he seems to be proving just that. Kobe Bryant is 37 years old and his body is not allowing him to perform the way he used to only a few years ago since he became more injury prone. Peep his words after getting a much needed win the other night…..

Via NBA.NBCSports:

Kobe Bryant played 36 minutes – his most in 11 months – including all but the final seven seconds of the fourth quarter in the Lakers’ win over the Pistons last night.

But it’ll cost the 37-year-old.

Baxter Holmes of ESPN:

Lakers star Kobe Bryant will not play Monday against the Phoenix Suns

“Right now, I’m barely standing up. My back and my legs, man, it’s killing me,” he said Sunday

“I’m not looking forward to walking to the car right now,” Bryant said. “Seriously.”

Mediaoutrage– It looks like this might be the last year we get to appreciate greatness of his magnitude because his body seems to be slowly but surely wearing down from the glorious 19-year-career he’s had. Make sure you get tickets as Kobe and the Lakers make their way to your city for what could be his final time. Take a bow Kobe!
