Gov. Chris Christie says he has no intentions of ever meeting with BlackLivesMatter. Peep Game
Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.) isn’t here for the Black Lives Matter movement because “all lives matter.”
“I want the Black Lives Matter people to understand: Don’t call me for a meeting. You’re not getting one,” said Christie, according to The Star-Ledger. “I think all lives matter,” he added.
During a recent town hall at Mickey’s Country Café in Bettendorf, Iowa, Christie chastised the BLM movement, as well as candidates that endorse them, specifically Hillary Clinton.
“No candidate for president, like Hillary Clinton, should give them any credibility by meeting with them, as she’s done,” said Christie, who is running for President under the Republican party.
Clinton met with Black Lives Matter leaders after the movement protested at not only her speaking engagements, but also almost all the other presidential candidates.
Christie added: “When a movement like that calls for the murder of police officers … no president of the United States should dignify a group like that by saying anything positive about them.”
The Governor’s responses came after a question asked by a mother of two police officers who wanted to know what the presidential hopeful would do to protect law enforcement.
