In his first year as a head coach in the NBA, Tyronn Lue won a title.

Now, he’s reaping the benefits.

The Cleveland Cavaliers coach agreed to a five-year, $35 million extension on Monday, according to NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski. ESPN reported the first four years are guaranteed with a team option for the fifth year.

The Cavs hired Lue as an assistant coach in June 2014. He was promoted to head coach when the team parted ways with David Blatt in January.

Cleveland’s championship season made Lue the first coach in NBA history to start the playoffs 10-0 in his rookie season.

As a player, Lue spent time in Los Angeles, Washington, Orlando, Houston, Atlanta and Dallas. He won two NBA Championships while with the Lakes in 2000 and 2001.
